We meet our driver and tour guide at about 08:30 then take a leisure drive to Ha Long. Today we travel across the rural plain of the Red River Delta to the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay where our boat and sumptuous seafood lunch await us. Cruising amongst the limestone islets, there is opportunity to explore the wondrous caves and swim. As our boat bobs lazily on one of the world’s most spectacular bays we enjoy the sunset on this stunning bay while getting on the main land for the return to Ha Noi. We stop on the way to visit a ceramics village where we can see artisans create superb ceramic vases and other masterpieces in their kilns and have the opportunity to purchase many of their products at a fraction of the price that we could expect to pay outside of Viet Nam. Leaving Ho Chi Minh City in early morning, you drive to Cai Be to board the Cai Be Princess boat to a visit Cai Be’s colorful floating market. Then navigate by sampan to Dong Hoa Hiep Island to and visit some of the many local family workshops that produce rice paste, pop corn, coco candies and dried longans. During the cruise you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe typical

Mekong Delta rural life. Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photo opportunities. Lunch awaits you at Le Longanier restaurant at La Residence de Phu An Resort, a superb Indochine style resort. After a short walk along the bank of a narrow canal, the excursion will end at about 3.30pm, where your vehicle will take you to Ho Chi Minh City.

Your two days cruise on the complex maze of waterways will give you a taste of life on the Mekong River and its tributaries.
